In 1924 the Washington Senators won the World Series. That same year the Tivoli Theater began its life as an ornate movie palace in a trendy new neighborhood called Columbia Heights. In 2005 Columbia Heights is once again trendy. Baseball has returned to Washington. The newly renovated Tivoli is alive again as the new home of Gala Hispanic Theatre and as a national center for Latino performing arts Join the Brown University and Columbia University Alumni clubs for a private tour of the beautifully restored building and purchase Gala Hispanic tickets at a discounted rate.
